As we start the new year, we once again want to say thank-you for your prayers on behalf of Dallas Christian College! Your prayers are making a difference as more students are being educated and mentored for Kingdom work. You can read below how God has answered your prayers and see additional prayer needs and concerns that we want to share.

THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MISSIONS (ICOM)
We continue to praise God for the more than 150 students, faculty, and staff who attended the International Conference on Missions (ICOM) in November. May the Lord bring the increase to the seeds planted and watered by that experience in both students and employees.
LAUNCH OF DCC’S FIRST MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAM
Praise God for the launch of our Masters Degree in Transformative Ministry on Monday, January 8th! We are grateful for the students who will be entering our first ever graduate degree program.
GOD’S PROVISION -NOW CAMPAIGN
We are praising God as He continues to bless the College through the generosity of our ministry partners! We have received more than $1.8 million toward our $5 million NOW Campaign goal! We are grateful for those who give so generously to DCC and its mission.
NOW is the time to pray.
NEW STUDENTS AND CURRENT STUDENT RETENTION
Pray for our Enrollment Management team as they have conversations and interactions with prospective students who are making decisions about their education plans for the Spring. Specifically, we want to ask for new students in the Sports Science and Criminal Justice majors as well as the Masters Degree program. Pray for our current students who have a desire to be here at DCC but are struggling financially, academically and/or spiritually.
NOW CAPITAL CAMPAIGN-worley student life center
The NOW Campaign continues to move forward with plans for increased Scholarships and Facilities initiatives, including the Worley Student Life Center. Pray that God would provide the necessary funds to finish the Scholarship initiatives of the NOW Campaign to that we can move forward with the Facilities initiatives.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS
Ask the Lord to continue to bring opportunities for DCC to expand its impact through new and existing programs and partnerships, provide the resources (financial, personnel, physical, technological) to launch and sustain them, and give leadership the wisdom to prioritize and execute these new initiatives. Pray that DCC can play a role in bringing the Word of God to the nations, especially the unengaged and unreached peoples of the world.
ROOTED DISCIPLESHIP EXPERIENCE
Pray that God would continue to work through the Rooted Experience to bring about spiritual transformation in each student and employee. May the seeds planted from last semester lead to more committed disciples, and may interested and participation increase through the Spring 2024 semester.
BUDGET AND PERSONNEL DECISIONS
Continue to pray for wisdom and clear direction as President Smith and the DCC Cabinet consider future financial decisions as part of the NOW Capital Campaign. Pray for guidance on the timing for the Worley Student Life Center renovations. Pray that the Lord would lead us to the right employees, volunteers, Board members, donors, and strategic partners to fulfill and accelerate DCC’s mission and vision.
